In memory of Unus Annus

Unus Annus was a channel that existed on Youtube for one year, as the name implies in Latin. Created by Mark Fischbach and Ethan Nestor, the channel’s premise of the inevitable was kept in mind since the start of Unus Annus on November 15, 2019, and all the way to the very end on November 13, 2020. During the channel’s lifetime, Ethan was known as Unus and Mark, well, Annus.

Posting one video a day, they had lots of concepts for videos from their own creativity and to remind viewers that the inevitable determination of the channel was growing closer with every passing second. With many trending videos, the channel reached 4.49 million subscribers in its existence.

Along with Unus Annus, Mark and Ethan kept up their individual channels. You can find Mark’s channel called Markiplier, and Ethan’s called Crankgameplays, on Youtube even after the departure of Unus Annus.

Now, Unus Annus is gone. It will live forever in the memories of the viewers and the people who made it. If you’re interested in watching the videos from Unus Annus, well, you’re completely out of luck. Along with the channel’s determination, Mark and Ethan have made it very clear that they will take down any re-uploads of their videos, to further the message of the channel: everything has an end. No one can stop time, so make the most of what you have. Memento Mori. Unus Annus.
