Softball season

Last year, Orcutt Academy High School’s Varsity Softball team displayed lots of potential, but what everyone wants to know is how this year’s team looks.

Arianna Contreras, a returning sophomore and a top three hitter on last year’s team, shares that compared to last years team, “we will have a better record.” She claims that the team is working hard, and has even practiced through the rain. A few girls, including herself, put in time before the season even started. She claims this year’s team has more talent coming  onto the team with some newcomers and some returners who have improved.

Madi Soloman, another returning sophomore on the team claims “we have a solid team.” Contreras and Soloman both agree that this year’s team dynamic is much improved from last year’s seemingly dramatic team. Contreras claims that the team is bonding much better than it did last year.

All in all this team has put a lot of work, rain and shine, into improving from last year, and seems to be well on its way to having a great season!
