The Spartan Oracle.

Rachel Carlson
Hi, my name is Rachel Carlson, and I have been looking forward to joining Journalism for awhile. I am a club swimmer at the Santa Maria Swim Club, which I’ve been apart for six years. I also do high school swim, and I’ve been on varsity every year that I have done it. In essence, I am very dedicated to the things I participate in. I volunteer at my church's Sunday school and over this summer I volunteered at the YMCA, where I got to teach kids how to read. My friends describe me as fun, loyal, independent, and in general, a great person. Besides swimming, I enjoy playing the piano and spending time with family and friends. I am looking forward to this wonderful year!
