DIY Clothespin Wreath:

This do-it-yourself Christmas Wreath is a new super simple take on wreaths.  Not only does it look great, but it is a handy Christmas card holder.  Using the clothespins to hold the cards, you can fill up the wreath or just put a few around it here and there.  The preference is up to you.  So get put your crafty hat on and let’s get started.

Materials Needed:

  • A wooden wreath template (size of your choosing)
  • Many clothespins (depends on the size of your wreath)
  • At least two different shades of green paint (acrylic works best)
  • Hot glue gun (with glue sticks)
  • Bow of your choosing
  • 2 in. thick ribbon of your choosing

  • First, separate the clothespins into two sections
  • Paint all of the clothespins
  • Of the two sections, use one color green on one and the other color green on the other pile
  • Also paint the wooden wreath template and paint it one of the shades of green
  • Let all of the paint dry
  • Alternating the different color clothespins hot glue them onto the wreath
  • Make sure the handle is pointing towards the inside of the wreath and that the clamping part has enough room to hold the cards
  • Have the clothespins go all the way around the wreath
  • Attach the bow to your wreath; wherever you want to
  • If needed use hot glue to secure the bow
  • Take your ribbon and wrap it around the top of the wreath, opposite the bow
  • Use hot glue to secure the bow and ensure it will not disconnect when hanging
  • Hang your wreath from either a hook or attach it to the wall with a tack
  • Lastly, put your Christmas cards in the wreath and enjoy your decor
