Downward coronavirus trend as more people are getting vaccinated

For the first time since November of last year, COVID deaths are below their former average of 1,000 deaths daily.

More and more people have been getting vaccinated, so more people are obtaining herd immunity. Seniors have gotten more shots recently, and deaths in the entire population due to COVID have dropped exponentially. The president says more doses of both shots should be available soon.

Though the deaths are dropping, the number of daily cases is still in the tens of thousands.

Dr. Eric Topol says we have a shot at turning this around to how things  used to be, but reopening everything isn’t healthy.

The Elderly, being the most susceptible to COVID-19, have gotten their shots already.

Workers will be back at work, just as students will be back at school.
