Let’s Ball this Fall
It’s that time of the year again, thanksgiving is rolling right around the corner and it’s time to think about what you were thankful for. Personally, I had a lot of things I was thankful for, but when it came down to it, the one thing that I sometimes underappreciated and never truly gave my full thanks to was the sport of basketball.
At first it was a game, a hobby per say, but as I was growing up watching it more, it became a passion. Playing high school basketball taught me so much as a person, as a leader, and as a player. Whenever I got on that court, I felt like I was in a different space. It was just me and the game that was once simply a game for me but ultimately turned into an art form. I was going out there, day in and day out, trying to perfect my craft. From making a simple layup, to hitting a 28 foot 3-pointer late in the game, it always felt special to me. Basketball is a part of who I am and who I have become; taking it away from me would be taking part of me with it. That is why this year I am most thankful that each and every day I am able to go and do what I love most: playing basketball.
