The Spartan Oracle took some time to ask fellow Orcutt Academy students what they thought of the PSAT. Here are some of their responses:

Naomi McCune said, “it wasn’t as hard as I thought it was going to be, and I am glad I had the opportunity to take this test to prepare me for the actual SAT.” McCune also stated that a lot of people said the test was going to be awful, but once getting into the test he realized it wasn’t so bad.

Savannah Blouin said, “it wasn’t a hard test, but it was time consuming. 30 minutes would go by and it seemed like 5 minutes, but I am definitely glad I took it because it as a great learning experience.” Savannah said that she was definitely nervous at first, but once the test began she knew what she was doing.

Clayton Merrill told the Oracle, “it wasn’t that bad, but it took what seemed like forever, and the break we got wasn’t very long, so it was even harder to get back into it” He didn’t regret taking the PSAT, but it took a lot of brain power, and it was hard to concentrate for such a long time.

Robert Spears said, “it was very boring and not what I expected. It was very long so it was hard to stay concentrated, but it helped me prepare for the future SAT.” He thought the PSAT was actually pretty easy, it was just time consuming, so it wasn’t very fun for him.

Adeline Gaither said, “it was actually pretty easy, but very hard to concentrate. We had the smallest amount of time for the break, so it was hard to jump back in for more.” She doesn’t regret taking the PSAT and hopes this experience will help her for the future SAT.
