One of our most ambitious substitute teachers at OA is Mrs. Chamberlain. She has been teaching at Orcutt Academy for many years now and enjoys every single day working with her students. She is very flexible and can teach almost every class.

Mrs. Chamberlain has been working in the Orcutt School District for over 25 years, although she took a break from teaching in 1998-1999 to run a flower shop. After that experience she decided to come back to her job. Her favourite part of teaching is seeing her students grow up and being a part of their lives. She enjoys spending time in school with her students and especially with the seniors.

Mr. Shaw says of Mrs. Chamberlain, “She is a really kind and helpful person. I know I have come to depend on her, especially when my wife and I are inviting new babies into our family, which seems to be every other year.” Other staff echo their appreciation for the Orcutt substitute.

Today she is one of the favourite teachers of many students at OA. Hopefully we can spend many more years with Mrs. Chamberlain taking advantage of her teaching skills as well as her friendly and gracious character.
