Last Saturday our beloved choir performed at the local Harmony Festival. The annual event was located at St. Louis de Montfort Church. Orcutt Academy High School choir has been attending this event for the last couple of years and each time it has had an even greater turn out.

The Harmony Festival isn’t a competition between other schools and us, but it is a workshop and a performance for the community. The organizer of this event is Robert Maurer. Maurer worked hard to incorporate all the diverse attendees in a friendly sing along event.

Emily Alvarado commented, “I’ve gone the past 2 years, and this year, in particular, I saw so many new faces. It was so exciting to see the youngins learning to sing.” There were mostly high schoolers at this function and watching them take a moment to sing and have fun with peers proves to be a memorable moment. With Mrs. Kintzi at the helm, our Spartans shone on the stage with performances by Mason Oaks, Justin Selken, Cierra Husselstein, Megan Morawitz, Emily Alvarado, Isabella Melsheimer, Mackenzie Coker, Mae Peters, Cianna Williams, Jacob Barnes.

If you are interested in joining in on the Harmony Festival next year, check in with Mrs. Kintzi and consider joining our choir.
