Robotics is some of the most difficult and rewarding fun you’ll ever have. This year we have dedicated thousands of hours building our robot and preparing for our competitions. We did exceptional at both of our competitions. We were ranked #1 at the Ventura Regional Competition and made it to the quarter-finals at the Long Beach Regional Competition. Because of how well we did in Ventura, we qualified to go to the FIRST Robotics World Championships in Houston, Texas during spring break.

In order for us to make it to Houston, we have to meet our goal of raising $40,000 by the time we leave for Worlds. Over the past few weeks we have been fundraising non-stop and even set up a GoFundMe page. This weekend, on Saturday, April 8th, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm, we’ll be holding a Tri-Tip Chili Feed Fundraiser and Silent Auction here at the OAHS MU. Please contact a member of the Robotics team for tickets or text Joshua Hughes at (805) 314-7566. We look forward to seeing you there, or you can donate to our GoFundMe page at https://www.gofundme.com/orcutt-robotics-world-competition.

After putting in countless hours and losing a lot of sleep, we are all ecstatic to go to Houston to compete. The Spartatroniks Team thanks you for your support; we look forward to your participation in these fundraisers.
