In this article I’m going to write about a remarkable Orcutt Academy student who doesn’t really get the recognition they deserve. In addition to being a tenacious leader, this person is also a fiercely loyal friend who has never failed to be there for me when I need their support and advice.
Staci ¨Sandra” Lynn Tilley was born on November 16, 1999. I have known Staci since freshman year, and although we have our differences, our friendship has blossomed into one of the most valuable relationships I’ve had in my life thus far. I have had not only the pleasure of getting to know Staci over the past three years, but I have also had the opportunity to watch her grow as a person. Staci is a well-spoken, socially aware young individual and I couldn’t be more proud of her and her accomplishments.
I feel that Staci has truly come into her own this past year. Not only is Staci an AP student, she also works at Vaquera’s diner as a waitress. She manages to keep up her grades while simultaneously holding a job, as well as holding positions in many clubs across campus. Staci is treasurer in both Class of 2018 and SAGA (Sexuality and Gender Acceptance) club. In addition, she is an active member of both CSF and NHS. She aspires to go to UC San Diego, where she plans to major in neuroscience. Staci wants to become an optometrist, because she is in love with the human eye.
Staci is a wonderful student and an even better friend. She excels in her schoolwork while maintaining a friendly disposition and a positive outlook on life. She is a pleasure to work with in class and I cannot wait to see where she goes after high school. I know she will be successful in whatever she does.
