Mitchell Aaron Modlin was born on July 3, 2000, which he also shares with his father, Mitchell Senior. You may be more familiar with Mitchell as ¨Poppinmod¨ or ¨Mitch Mod the God”, if neither of these names ring a bell, then I personally would like to apologize for you are missing out on a great man. I’ve had the pleasure of becoming close friends, if not best friends, with this person and he continues to astound me everyday. When he walks into a room the mood lightens and the day becomes ten times more bearable.
What makes Mitch so great? Mitchell is a hard worker. He’s an amazing friend and he has evolved into such a charismatic individual and repeatedly throws himself into roles of responsibility with ease.
Not only does he have all these great characteristics but he also is extremely involved within Orcutt Academy. Currently Mitchell is the Class of 2018 President, he is a member of NHS and CSF, and is involved with track. Junior year is known to be full of stress, yet Modlin has held his grasp on academics as he emerges within the top 10 of 150 students. On top of all of this, he still manages to balance working at In-N-Out and taking two other classes at Hancock; English 103 as well as Political Science.
I admire Mitchell for many reasons. He never complains about the same workload crushing the majority of us. He handles opposition head on instead of cowering and hiding. Mitchell is quick to understand and apologizes for his mistakes. And he’s overall an amazing leader who will succeed in life. Next year Poppinmod plans on running for office in ASB, NHS, and CSF, as well as maintaining his role as an active member of Class of 2018. I have no doubt he’ll continue to work hard and achieve what he deserves.
I look forward to growing as a person alongside Mitchell over the upcoming year. You are doing great things Modlin.
